Would you like to help make C25K app even better? I’m looking for people who can help beta-test the C25K app.

Here are the details on how you can participate:

  1. Sign up here. You’ll need to have your device’s UDID handy. See below on how to find it
  2. I will periodically email you beta versions and instructions on how to install it on your device
  3. You use the beta version and report any issues you find
  4. Everybody gets to enjoy a better app!

What’s in it for you? You’ll get early access to new app features, weeks before the version becomes available in the App Store.

How to get the UDID:

Connect your iPhone or touch to a computer and open iTunes. Select your device from the device list and click the “Summary” tab.  In the Summary tab click on the word “Serial Number” and it will change to say “Identifier”. Then just press Command + C (on Mac) or Control + C (on Windows) and your UDID will be copied to your clipboard.

Thanks for helping out!

What’s coming in the next Couch to 5K app update

I’ve spent a few hours going over the submitted feedback and suggestions for the C25K app features and deciding what to do for the next release. First off, thanks to everybody who submitted feedback and ideas, it is much appreciated! Second, if you would like to see a new feature added to the app please submit it here.

So here’s a list of features I’ll be adding:

  • Last run notification. If you want to push yourself a little harder on the last run, or if you just need to know that the end is near, you will be able to turn on a audio alert that lets you know that you are about to do the last running segment for the day.
  • Ability to reset the timer. Say you got interrupted and had to stop running for a while but did not stop the app timer. You will now be able to reset the timer back to the previous interval.
  • “Half point” notification will be optional. It will still be turned on by default but you’ll be able to turn it off in the Settings
  • Twitter integration. You will be able to post to Twitter right from the C25K app when you finish your workout.
  • and of course… fixing some bugs

There are a lot more great ideas submitted on the feedback forum and I’ll be incoroprating them into the app with future releases.

Thanks for downloading C25K and GW28K apps and for the great feedback and support.

Happy running!
